Tony’s Monologue: We delayed the call because three people had bank appointments today. Tony was waiting for them to get done at the bank so he could update us on that. These people got to their bank appointments and the bank asked why they had appointments and that the call centers should not have done this. They also received emails verifying their appointments over Saturday and Sunday. One bank said they didn’t even have a De La Rue machine to be able to count the currency. Tony has another guy that had an appointment scheduled for Sunday that now has it for tomorrow. Everyone is waiting for the Iraqi banking system because it was shut down to update. A whole lot of people are thinking that they need those two hours to change the rate. All the three letter agencies and the banks are thinking that this is why they need to shut down for two hours. They are expecting this at some point after 6 pm eastern today. Could be today or tomorrow that we are having another call. Tony had a guy land in Iraq today and was told that he had to exchange his currency. He got 4.91. Everyone is still ready. The ones that made the appointments jumped the gun. They are expecting to start later tonight or tomorrow. Actually, there is someone still at the bank as we are speaking. As of today, all the Canadian VIPs are done, and they are next in line like us. The people that had appointments and that were verified by email were in Nashville, TN., Salt Lake City, UT, and Charlotte, NC. We know they have an automated system, but they jumped the gun with it. There is still one guy at the bank. Tony has not been contacted yet as far as any of the information, package, and what we are doing.

Q & A:

-            Will they still need to read the budget law three times for 2025 for this to happen? They have done two readings of the budget law today and they might do a third later tonight.

-            Does it not make sense for it to happen after the inauguration on the 20th? He and all the rest of the presidents will take credit for it.

-            Have you seen any pictures of the new lower denoms? Tony has not seen any even though people are saying they are out.

-            Were the ones that used the call center, received an email, and set an appointment was that part of the Wells Fargo system? No, they called into a bank and were able to make an appointment. The call center should not have sent out the email confirmations. All three appointments were at Wells Fargo Banks.

-            Will we still be able to negotiate on our currencies? The ZIM might be one you can negotiate on.

-            Is the Soberano rate .38 cents? Neither Ray nor Tony denied this.

-            Is the 15th still the deadline for the rate to be live on FOREX? Yes, but Tony is looking for it in the next three hours or so. The Iraqi Central Bank informs us that the electronic payment servers will shut down for two hours to make an update to their systems. The people in the know think this so they can come out with their new rate.

-            Did you see anything about the HCL being approved again this morning? Tony has not seen anything about it being approved again this morning like it has been so many times before.

-            Will it only be the top three banks that will have the high rates or all of them? Tony thinks they all should be able to offer higher rates, but the interest rates will be based on how much you have.

Wrap Up: We still have one guy that Tony has not heard from that had a bank appointment. Other bankers are saying they can’t pay out until it is live, which could be tonight or tomorrow morning. Don’t hold your breath. Let’s see what Iraq announces after 6 pm eastern or 5 hours after that when it is 8 am for them. Tony will be notified before us.
