Tony’s Monologue: The rate came out in Kurdistan on Monday and it was 1.38. It happened like it was supposed to and how they had told them. Our problem is that it always comes out earlier in Kurdistan as compared to Baghdad. They are more advanced than Baghdad, they are closer to the US, and don’t have to deal with the Iranian influence. Yesterday, Baghdad was supposed to come out with the same rate. The system was supposed to be completed at midnight last night and the rate was supposed to be changed. They were supposed to make an announcement in the mosques at 5 am saying that all of this would be effective at 8 am in the morning. It didn’t happen though. Two banks or two countries messed it up, it was fixed, and they did a 24-hour reset. They made an announcement later that at 10 pm they would make a major announcement and hinted that it would be similar to what Kurdistan had announced. If it is announced, it should go live at 8 am in the morning in Baghdad which would be midnight our time. We will know in the morning if it happened. We should see this in the morning. Tony has known this as the plan since Monday and didn’t want us to go out spending our last bit of money on more currency. Tony checked with a contact and heard that the announcement was made on Baghdad tv, and it is all a go. They did announce the 1.38 rate and that it will be effective tomorrow. The banks are already making appointments for people for Thursday and Friday. Tony did get confirmation that they made announcements for morning prayers, and it is going at 8 am. Apparently the plan was for it to happen as they were going into their holiday weekend. The only thing we don’t know is if we start tomorrow morning or Saturday morning. Some of the banks are waiting on it right now because they think it is starting this evening. The banks might feel confident enough to do this. Tony does know of people with appointments for 9 am tomorrow. All the currencies are going, but not sure about the Zimbabwe Agro-Cheque though. As of right now, if your total amount of US dollars from your currency exchange is less than 500,000, you will go to the teller window. Anyone with an amount over 500,000 will have to call the 800 number and go to a BAC. Important change to things is you can only make one exchange per month at one bank. They had meetings with all the major banks to get this setup and synchronized. You can exchange at different banks but not more than one exchange at the same bank. They are also only planning on doing the exchange for 7 days. That was originally the 3rd through the 10th or could also be from now to the tenth. Not everyone will get the 28.50, they have set things up in a tier system. Depending on what amount you have will put you in a specific tier and the higher the tier the more you get. They have put together benefit packages for how much you have. If you are at a specific level, it will determine your rate and benefits you get. They did this to make it easier for their people. It sounds like 12 to 28 is what they are going to give us. Tony was told about a four-digit code, but he will explain more about it when he gets all the information on it. It is happening. Now we need to think about how to keep it and how to protect it.

-            Should we expect another call tonight or in the morning? Either one is possible.

-            By setting it up in tiers it could eliminate some of the prejudice towards you from the people exchanging us.

-            The upper echelon in the banks are saying Friday or Saturday for us to start but others are saying we could be there in the morning.
